Our products

The primary products in DF Aquaculture Capital Limited's RAS operations are Premium Jumbo, Extra Jumbo and Colossal White Shrimp combined in an Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture ("IMTA") system with Sea Cucumbers and Sea Asparagus. These are high value products with the desired Sea Cucumber species reaching Hong Kong prices of $1660 USD per kg. Shrimp is a $19.4 billion industry and the most highly traded seafood product by value globally.

Symbiotic products

The IMTA system is environmentally friendly and the shrimp/fish and sea cucumbers/asparagus have a symbiotic relationship. The sea cucumbers/asparagus actually consume the shrimp/fish waste as nutrients. The growth rate is 7.5 times higher using shrimp waste as the food/nutrient source as opposed to traditional farming methods.

DF Aquaculture Capital Limited uses the latest methodology and technology that has been proven commercially. Many systems exist that have been developed in university labs and by private industry but they either do not work on a commercial production scale or simply are too expensive to build and operate.

Our philosophy

DF Aquaculture Capital Limited has the answers and has conducted due diligence on the various systems available from China to Europe to the USA. SAC knows the systems that work in remote tropical climates as well as urban cold climates.

DF Aquaculture Capital Limited has university and private lab affiliations that allow the Company to keep abreast of the technology and methodology developments in the field.

Our operations

Feed sourcing and type is another key area under continual evolution; as such, DF Aquaculture Capital Limited monitors the feed industry in order to advise on the most efficient feed type and source. The feed conversion ratio is one of the determinants of the successful sustainable aquaculture project. Feed typically makes up to 60% of the operating costs.

Energy needs are studied and the most cost effective systems implemented. Recirculating Aquaculture Systems use electricity and its continued supply is important as is its cost. Typically, a combination of solar with a backup diesel or propane generator in conjunction with the local electrical grid is the solution.
